We have spent over $250,000 for our adult daughter to obtain treatment at Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge MA. They claim to treat treatment resistent patients. After sucking us dry, money wise, they are telling us that they are administratively discharging her. Our money and her time has been wasted there. Only a month ago they said they were finally figuring her out. This place has lots of psychiatrists but strangely they couldn't help her. Plus they say this right before Christmas not considering how the holidays effect patients and families alike. ANYONE THINKING THAT THIS MIGHT BE "THE" PLACE FOR HELP, PLEASE RECONSIDER.

I don't understand why they couldn't help her? How long was she at this place? How old is your daughter ? (if you don't mind saying)

Were there any positive changes that occurred while she was there? How long was she there, and to what extent was going there her idea (vs. yours, or a mental health professional's)?
