Hi, I'm new. I have a 23 yr old son w BPD. Hospitalized at 15, on and off symptoms all through high school. Now a senior in college and he's really having a tough time. No meds or therapy, because he doesn't have a problem...

He won't go to therapy or take meds as he doesn't recongnize his issues. He was in therapy in the past, got a lot out of it but won't go now.
He simply thinks all of his damaged relations are due to other peoples shortcoming and not his anger or intense behavior.

I am a loss as to how to help him. I have read ALL the books, am in therapy myself, and have rallied my other sons and my husband so that we could all understand and help him. But he won't get help for himself or acknowledge he has a disorder or even any problem.

People suffering from BPD, what do you need from us to be healthy? How can we help you? My heart breaks all the time for the pain he goes through. I know I didnt cause it (was a really sympathetic, good mom.) cant cure it. Have spent years trying.

What can we do for you? how best can we ease your suffering?
any advice would be so welcome.

I HATE THIS DISORDER AND HOW MUCH PAIN IT CAUSES VICTIMS AND THOSE WHO LOVE THEM!!
Thanks, all
