My son was arrested for the first time for wreckless driving. He forgot to take his Focalin, (ADHD meds) he was driving too fast. I gave up on having a normal life. Bipolar disorder is a horrible nightmare.

I am so sorry to hear the news. Yes, bipolar can be a terrible thing. I have Bipolar II, so I have never been extremely manic to that point.

Maybe he needs to see about taking other meds, if he is only taking something for ADHD. I take meds and also see a therapist.

Hi, thank your for responding. I guess to answer your question, until recently I I have done nothing to help myself cope. I have depression and anxiety to the point that I have no expecations of anything good ever happening in my life, I expect only bad things. I am sorry, I don't mean to be so down. Recently, I went to a Dr. He gave me samples of a new medication for depression and a coupon for a discount. (which means it is very expensive) I didn't fill the perscription. I can't afford a 100.00 copay. He also gave me a perscription for an anxiety medication. (Busporin) It helps somewhat.

Thank you for caring!
