I would like to hear from other young adults who have been ddiagnosed withBPD and what type of treatment they have undergone and any advice they can give me as a parent to help my adult (30)) year old daughter get on the right track. Her symptoms seem to be getting worse and she is lying more, stealing from us, gets involved with guy after guy and after 2 days is madly in love with them, then she turns them away by her persistent clinging behavior, can't make friends, can't keep a job, but lives at home and sleeps a lot of the time, and has no motivation to iimprove. She cannot drink alxoholbecause when she does she cannot sop and gets so wasted (she has gotten DUI) and is on probabtion. No one that she has seen is worth much when it comes to finding a top notch therapist that knows how to do anything in therapy but give her "pep" tallks. We took her to a specialist in DBT and she stoipped seeing him because she says she wasn't ready for being held "accountable" Any suggestions from parennts or patients themselve is most appreciated.

Well it sounds like your daughter and mine could be related. They sound rather similar. Here is my (my daughters) story About my daughter

Although I came here looking for advice too we may be able to help each other understand our daughters better. At least we have someone we can relate to.
