This past week has been the hardest week a mother can indure. My son is a Schizophrenic, has been for years. Somedays I wonder if he is a SPLIT. One is so sweet and kind, the other is just mean, mean, mean.
I had to put the mean one OUT of my home, and of course my sweet son went with it. He is 36 years old, paces back and forth, punches the other one of him, talks continuously from the time he opens his eyes until he is finally asleep at 2 am. He eats little, but eats so much, smokes 3 packs a day,. And if he is confronted with ANY situation, the mean mouthed, one, comes out! I am 58 and can bear no more. My handsome, love of my heart, is gone forever, and I don't know how to help him, or how to get him help without him hateing me so much afterwards. Someone in here please help me, I am desparate!!!!!!

classzback2005, I hear your frustration and fear. I really believe that it would be best to get him help even if he shows disdain about you doing this. You have to live as well and it sounds like you don't feel very safe. Maybe you are not the one who can help him so finding a way to get him professional help would be the best choice. I wish you the very best and I hope you are able to find him help.
