I am having ALOT of difficulty dealing with my husband of 24 yrs.. I believe he has this disorder, my 19 year old daughter showed me info on PPD the other day. His actions forced me away from our home and I stayed the night with my daughter. I was 19 when we met, and and in the first few years he was diagnosed with ADHD and then later on bipolar. He is almost 50 his paranoia of others consumes him completely and I don't know how much more I can take!she has a strong disbelief and psychotherapy although she has found a few good doctors here and there through the years. His paranoia usually ends the relationship. Is there any support groups that I could go to for some kind of advice?

I am not sure of support groups for your area, but I am sure that if you goole your area you will probably find something. We also have a bipolar support chat here on the forums every saturday night at 8pm EST that is open to everyone whether they have bipolar or not. That includes those with a loved one that suffers from bipolar.

As far as PPD, it could be that he has that, or it also could be that over the years his bipolar disorder has progressed and paranoia is a symptom of bipolar. I have bipolar type schizoaffective disorder and am affected by paranoia to a rather high degree. A lot of MIs tend to overlap as far as symptoms and can sometimes present like something else.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
