My husband has been diagnosed with conversion disorder. (Related to a psycosomatic disorder). His brain is telling him and his body that he is paralyzed, his stomach hurts, his blood pressure drops so low he passes out, and other various symptoms. I don't know how to help him. Is anyone else going through this that can offer some advice.

I know someone who was diagnosed with conversion disorder and it turned out she had had a stroke. Make sure that mri's are done on his brain and whatever other tests they do to check for a stroke. This woman didnt find out she had had a stroke for four years.

MRIs are usually very reliable for strokes. a neurologist can pinpoint teensy strokes that a person has had years ago....good luck, pat
