So those of you have a partner with mental illness, where do you go for emotional support?

I have a few friends I can talk to, but they also are dealing with a lot of problems right now, so I kind of have to be careful to not dump too much on them. I also have looked for support here at times.

Honestly, I wish I had a better support system. I am not coping well lately. He's fine one day and hates everything the next. I am unemployed and have crap health insurance, so I was looking at some free therapy through psychology programs at universites. Unfortunately they have huge waitlists.

Sorry you are dealing with this too. Hugs!
Thanks for this!

I am fortunate to have good health insurance for my PTSD so I get to see a therapist 3x a month and discuss these things with her , however that is only one hour a week.

I lost one friend over a relationship last year.

My ex is trying to get back together with me. I divorced him because of his refusal to treat his mental illness and substance abuse so I have to really stand my ground with him.

As I am not currently morally or legally obligated to a man I'm quite sure I don't want to repeat that experience.
