I'm currently sat in Accident & Emergency with my partner trying to get him help for a mental health crisis and he thinks it's OK to keep telling me and anyone else who'll listen that I'm lazy, selfish and untrustworthy. I'm exhausted, ill with Strep throat on top of multiple health issues of my own. I wonder when I'm going to break.

Oh how awful. I am so sorry you are in the dreadful situation. Strep throat by itself is a huge burden and you are dealing with all these other unpleasant things too. Just heartbreaking! Wish I knew what to say to help. My heart goes out to you!

Its so sad when you get accused of things that you are not I am assuming its a paranoid disorder of some sort? Just remind yourself that you need support too and if its really this bad then you need to step away from it as this is Narcissistic abuse of the worst kind sometimes we can only love people from a distance. Someone told me this a long time ago when I entered in to a toxic union, but I didn't listen and wasted years of my life.
