Hi, I am searching for answers and advice to help my friend, can someone help? Does my friend have an addiction or somekind of disorder? I would like to know so that I can help him in the right direction.

He is in his late 50's. It appears that he has extreme socialness. He's hardly ever home after work and likes to go to bars and drinks every single night but never gets drunk. He told me he hates being alone but doesn't want a relationship with anyone. He stays out late, comes home and tries to go to sleep and can't or he may fall asleep and wakes up during the night, sometimes several times a night. He does this every day then by the end of the week he's falling asleep at events we attend together. To me, this is not normal. What could be wrong with him?

If more information is needed kindly let me know.
