What exactly is Borderline personality Disorder? I always think I have this because when people I love leave me i became really depressed that I hurt myself to escape the pain. I also really scare to be alone. I cut myself a lot before. I also depressed a lot.Does it mean BPD?

Borderline Personality Disorder

Here is a link to some information about BPD. If you think that this sounds like you, or even if not, and something is disrupting your ability to function and get the most out of life, it's worth it to talk to a qualified professional about it and look into what you can do about changing your life and you patterns so that you can be healthier.

Welcome to Psych Central. what is BPD I hope that you find support and understanding here.

I agree w/ Rapunzel that it is best to have a qualified professional assess how you deal/feel with things.
BPD is very often miss dx. And, sometimes you can have many of the symptoms but really not suffer from it.
I fear being abandoned every day of my life.
I have dealt with suicidal feelings, attempts and cutting and being black and white for so many years now.
It can be so frustrating.
You have to hang in there. Do you have a T?
You can get relief....

It sounds like you're in a lot of pain, Stephanie. Only a mental health professional can tell you if you have BPD...but getting a diagnosis isn't as important as realizing you have problems and that you need some help. Treatment really can make a big difference. It's not always easy, but it's worth it.
