This test kinda offended me but i still took it and here's my results.

<table width="360" cellspacing="0" style="border: 2px solid #000000; margin-left: 80px;"><tr><td style="font: bold 14px sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background: #000000; border: none; padding: 3px;">Your Hypochondria Rating:</td><td style="font: bold 16px sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background: #bb0000; border: none; text-align: center; padding: 3px;">Very High</td></tr><tr><td colspan="2" style="font: 14px sans-serif; color: #000000; background: #eeeeaa; border: none; border-top: 2px solid #000000; line-height: 18px; padding: 3px;">Your rating leaves little doubt that you are a hypochondriac. You are driven to great levels of anxiety over your health concerns. Fearing for your well-being borders on obsession for you. Your next step should be to seek a professional diagnosis and treatment for this condition. A much happier life is waiting for you.

Helga, why were you offended? What it is about the test that offends you might also be important in determining whether or not you might be a hypochondriac.

I'm not supposed to take quizzes, but figured this one was fairly safe since I don't think I'm a hypochondriac. Here are my results:
<table width="360" cellspacing="0" style="border: 2px solid #000000; margin-left: 80px;"><tr><td style="font: bold 14px sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background: #000000; border: none; padding: 3px;">Your Hypochondria Rating:</td><td style="font: bold 16px sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background: #550066; border: none; text-align: center; padding: 3px;">Low</td></tr><tr><td colspan="2" style="font: 14px sans-serif; color: #000000; background: #eeeeaa; border: none; border-top: 2px solid #000000; line-height: 18px; padding: 3px;">It is unlikely that you are a hypochondriac. You may occassionally fret over your health, but this is not abnormal. Health fears do not dominate your day and cause unnecessary anxiety, and your outlook in this area appears well within the normal range.

I thought I might come up higher than that because I do tell people that I have Renaud's disease and Muscular Dystrophy, and I diagnosed myself as anemic last year too. I hate going to doctors though, so I don't, and I still think that the above conditions apply. They just aren't a big deal to me. I have to keep my hands and feet warm because my body can't regulate temperature to the extremities. And I'm a terrible clutz and always have been (and my brother did have a muscle biopsy and does have a form of muscular dystrophy which is caused by a dominant gene, so it's likely that I do have it). And sometimes when I don't take my vitamins with iron, all of my muscles ache, etc., but I don't mind so much. I like achy muscles.

Anyway, the quiz seems to have face validity to me, not that face validity means a lot. The question is, what are you going to do about it? Does it bother you enough to talk to a professional about it?

You clearly have some anxiety over your health and well-being. If your health concerns are disrupting your daily activities, you may want to speak to a professional. However, managing your stress and altering your lifestyle may be enough to hold the anxiety at bay.

This didn't surprise me. I've often wondered if this was the case. I am starting to get it under control though.

Hypochondria tests So, the stupid test said I have a moderate chance of being a hypochondriac because I am concerned about my health? I am concerned about my health because of several unfavorable diagnoses and their symptoms. It's like the saying, "You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you." You're not a hypochondriac if you really are sick!
