I've done alot of research & it seems science is divided. Is a high iq or enormous creative talent almost always accompanied with mental illness? 2 out of 6 of my personalities agree. the rest are undecided. Anyone out there have some insight they'd like to share?

You are reporting that

1) science is divided

2) your personalities (are you DID?) are divided

Which one would you like to discuss? It is really hard to discuss (2).

As to (1), you should realize that there existed an enormous bias in reporting mental illness in the past. It could be that lots of people in the past did have mental illness but did not have an enormous creative talent to make them part of the recorded world history. Therefore, there is an appearance of a connection between mental illness and creative talent, which might or might not be explainable (in part or in full) by our "blindness" to the prevalence of mental illness in non-creative people of the past, simply because their existence was not so noticeable, overall.

As for the modern history during which mental illness is more reportable than before, I just do not think that we have enough data.

So in 50 years we can return to this question with more data.
Thanks for this!

Valid point on #1 as for #2, i do have did along with a score of other mental/ personality disorders. I guess I was just hoping to find some connection, purpose, or explination of my suffering. I'm cosidered highly intelligent, but due to my various illnesses & disconnection with reality my intelligence is fairly useless. Not sure if my answer is even relevant, but there ya go.

It is relevant! I hope you find a practical application for your intelligence.
