Most people will show some traits associated with personality disorders, but they're not so bad and their traits don't impact their lives as much. I just wonder where the line goes. I mean, exactly where. Because I've heard "when they can't function in society" and similar, but I'm not really sure what they mean by that. Aren't there people with personality disorders who functions, but maybe just because they have the right job or something?
Okay, so what is "bad enough"? Also, I'm completely sane and healthy, just curious. |

some people just cant keep a job, any job, no matter how hard they try. their personality deficits keep they from getting along with coworkers, bosses, concentrating, taking criticism, etc and they get fired over and over and over again. some people are so depressed they cant focus or get out of bed. some so ocd they cant function in the world because their rituals interfere with their life. if you have to wash your hands every time you touch something, how can you work anywhere? if you are agoraphobic and cant leave your home, how can you grocery shop, go to medical appts, get a job. I don't blame you for wondering this because I am messed up but I still get out there and function. I had to drop out of school because it was too much for me though and I didn't think it benefitted me enough to make it worth powering thru. but I do make it to work each day. I don't eat lunch because I am afraid to leave the building. a lot of times I go without because I am afraid to leave my home. but when it comes to necessities like my meds or toilet paper, things I cant live without, I summon up the courage to get out and do what I need to.
