I don't have many good memories of holidays. and I don't like getting together with my family, or my wife's family.

One of the few things I do enjoy is watching my son enjoy himself.

How old is your son? Even if you don't have good holiday memories, you can make some wonderful memories that your son will have for the rest of his life. My memories are what gets me through the holidays since my parents passed away and my husband died and I am grateful for every one of them. For your son's sake, please try to give him those memories and maybe you will find that every year you have a new a good one to sustain you as well.

He's 6. By all indications he is a very happy boy. And will have many happy memories to look back on.

I guess I don't hate the holidays. But I also don't participate in them. I just keep my head down & wait for them to be over.
Thanks for this!
