Talk to your pdoc about how you feel on the meds, and how you felt on the meds vacation. Maybe there is a different med that would let you feel stable but still feel like yourself. There is also a forum here about medications, if you want to ask over there. What are you taking the meds for? There might be other options too (besides meds).

Happy, a self elected meds vacation may not be a vacation at all. Medicines work at different rates and some should not be stopped immediately. By stopping meds you could put yourself in a vulnerable position that may take time to reverse until all the meds reach the balance you were in before.
Okay so no blame, but talking to your pdoc is a good idea.
If you need a vacation, go away to Disneyland next time or some quiet place down in the Keys. That is much better than stopping the medication that is providing a foundation to live on.
Maybe some of your meds need to be adjusted.
People at PC care about you.
