Does borderline personality disorder cause people to have a love hate relationship? My friend will tell me i'm her "life saver" one minute and hate me and block me the next.... This contradicting behaviour is confusing and tough to handle but she's my friend at the end of the day and i love her to pieces... Just wish i could determine whether it is borderline personality disorder or not?

Probably as lovely as a person she may be, is to be kind to yourself, worry less about rescuing her from whatever she may have and step away from such a toxic relationship. Not said because of BPD, but other threads shared wondering about this friend and its seeming affect.

Thank you for that, many people have told me it's a toxic friendship however i just can't seem to walk away just because i want to be different then everyone that has abandoned her you know.

Yeah she is the only ADD friend i have that is difficult and i think it could be more than ADD so i want to help but you're right there is only so much you can do for someone

Thank you
