It means that the professionals are up themselves and that they don’t want to help... or have an inability to help.
Or.... it’s another term for borderline personality disorder. There is some helpful and accurate stuff on the web about this, and some not so accurate. Or very unhelpful and wrong and stigmatising.. ![]()

I had never heard that term before, but I looked it up and found out it is a synonym for borderline personality disorder, which I have heard of before. Here is an article from psych central about it: Borderline Personality Disorder
The usual treatment for borderline personality disorder is dialectical behavioral therapy, DBT: An Overview of Dialectical Behavior Therapy I am actually very interested in this treatment, but the only places in my city that do it are very expensive and don't take my insurance. However, you can get a DBT skills workbook and try to do it on your own. |

Yes, Fuzzybear had already said it’s the same as borderline personality disorder.

Also called EDD — Emotional Dysregulation Disorder. Related to BPD and I’ve also read where it is related to C-PTSD.
Take these diagnoses with a grain of salt. You may just be surrounded by people so difficult to deal with that you seem like your reaction is over the top. This is something happening in my case. My reaction becomes a level 10 when the therapist thinks a level 3 is warranted. But they don’t comprehend the endurance of the frustration.

Meanwhile, I completely controlled my emotions this weekend during the same triggering trauma that happens constantly with my husband. But HE had the meltdown!

Sounds like BPD to me. I have unhealthy unstable emotions that can be triggered if I'm upset, angry or hurt. You dont notice it on a daily basis bc I'm mostly happy and positive however when anger or negativity creeps in I'm bat **** crazy with unstable thoughts and behaviors.
