I don't know if this is thread for it. But I feel more emotion connection to animals(cats, dogs mostly) then I have to family members or normal people.

when I see a stray dog on the street I feel more guilty then I do when one of the members of my family has problems or whatever.
Thanks for this!

I have the same problem as well... lots of contempt for people... and extreme emotions for animals (mostly cats). I feel more sympathy for stray animals because they have no control over their predicament. (Don't even get me started on people who neglect their animals...) Whereas, people generally have the ability to help themselves... at least in my mind, they do. Especially people that I know who always seem to create their own problems through stupidity. :-P

Well animals have a way of appreciating unconditional love. People sometimes abuse that and even don't acknowlege that. But there are people who can be very lovable as well. But I do understand how deeply we can love and animal, they do bring so much comfort dont they? You can ask them to cuddle and they just enjoy you without any real demands. And they can be so very loyal and they can be extremely appreciative too.

I have a little shitzu that loves to be with me, loves to cuddle me and would love nothing more if he could fit in my pocket and be with me all the time.

I have always been extremely drawn to animals my whole life. I think they are just amazing. I love all the different faces and they all have their own beauty and like us they are all unique. I have a lot of animals around me and I cannot say that one is just like the other, they all have different personalities, it really amazes me.

It is said that also if one has an animal they will live longer and healthier lives.

not all animals are nice, just like people, they are capable of attacking and killing others. and just like some animals, some people are selfish and unable to take care of themselves. there are many similarities but i understand your point of view though. i used to care more for animals until i began to research human behavior, i was able to put myself in other people's shoes and understand them and myself a lot better.
