Hey don't feel bad about that incident. A lot of people online will act like weird jerks. I think because of anonymity people sometimes say things they know better than to say because they think it makes them look cool. Or they intentionally do it knowing they can hurt a stranger and it gives them this surge of power ~ thrill or rush whatever. Know also there's a lot of immature kids and teens that are online who pretend to be adults and just being that they are immature kids will say some crass things.

There's one board I joined recently, a sports related board and people regularly just tell someone to "shut up and f ' off!" just for someone else saying well this is what I think... It shows the other person is mentally unstable, immature, or a kid, maybe an alcoholic or on drugs and doesn't know what they are saying. So don't let those people get to you. Just know that you are an important person just like everyone else is regardless of what that mean person said. Heck they could have been like a 12 yr old and thought they were being funny. Don't pay them no mind! The complicated feelings are often best expressed to a therapist or someone else you know is safe.

Nawls,
I'm sorry this happened to you...their words only added more pain to what you were already feeling.
Jme, but some people will react in a surprisingly ugly way. Just when ya need support, they can't handle it. It's a sad, very sad reaction when all we usually need is an "I care about you.....or I'm here for you"

I hope you are feeling better. Please know that we care

Catherine

I am sorry that happened to you - some people think that if they tell you to buck up your ideas you will magically recover! and others dont know what to say or may have had negative things happen to them to make them react that way.

Are you seeing a T?
