I went to a gi dr for throwing up blood and nonstop vomiting. He said to do upper endoscopy. I told him and he saw my ptsd and my fear. He said i will warn the hospital and u will be safe. They put me under and the next clear thing i remember is being in the er. I guess after the procedure they left me alone before i was aware of anything and i ran but i was hooked up to machines and the rails were up so i fell straight on my head and got a concussion and a neck injury. I was very ill for a week and i still have spazems in my neck that make my head hurt. The dr never told me my tests results or followed up. No one said sorry. I am mad and hurt.

Have you talked to your insurance company, or the hospital admin?
have you asked a lawyer about it?
I'd do all that first......
i am terribly sorry that there was so much negligence on the part of the dr, nurses and other staff. At least an apology would be expected...at the very least.....
Thanks for this!

Mini, I am so sorry that that happened to you. Iris has good suggestions. Can you contact a patient representative? Can you call the doc's office and tell them that you want to know the results?

Call a personal injury attorney right now. Have no more contact with the doctors, hospital or anyone.

The reason I am saying all this is because I used to work as a paralegal in medical malpractice. We defended the doctors when they got sued. We were actually on retainer for the malpractice insurance company.

Call the absolute best personal injury attorney you can find. If you don't know one, one of the best things to do is go down to the county court house and go to the county court clerk's office. Chat a little bit with one of the clerks in the County Court Clerk's office. Ask them what attorney files the most successful personal injury cases. Then call him/her.

Even if you do not want this to go to court, having an attorney representing you can be the best thing because they can get things done for you. People pay attention. I am very sorry this happened to you. You need someone to be your advocate.

MINIME,
I also am so sorry you went through such a horrible time.

Please follow Vickie's suggestions.
Speaking from the other side, ranks can close and make it difficult for you to get records, etc.. An attorney will protect his client.
Yes, PI attorneys get paid, but they also know what they are doing.

In Peace
