hey, just coming down,in,back...out of a swirly moment...not the same as a flashback but i dont know the right words to express it......sad, hard cry, confused, now SO tired like I been doing hard physical labor, like just breathing is work, an effort not an automatic function. I have about 14 & 1/2 hrs till I see T.so just stay distracted till i can go to sleep and then go see her. if i could just go to sleep then i know i would be better when i wake(if no flashes) then i "re-set"... does that make sense to any one? i'm not sure how to discribe it - the little men in my head shovel all the crap in a box and shove it into that room behind the big scary door...but i have to be asleep before they will come out...

Hi! It could have been a dissociative event ... and probably is a form of a flashback, being triggered by some thing. Glad you're back!

Morning! I got SLEEP! about 5 1/2 hrs straight thru! I am re-set and good for the day Its less than 5hrs till I see T...and so much to do this morning- lots of distration stuff, the rain has quit and the sun is out and its warm again, yea! We have 3 dogs and lots of cats so plenty to do, but I will be stopping in here for pit-stop, mini breaks, just to say hi on this or some other thread...

Does any one else remember about the little men? When I was young and we were learning about health in school they had this picture of all these men in your head and body that worked behind the scenes - like in a factoy to keep the machine running....so I have kept them and use them to help me thru my messes...clean up on aisle 4,subsection summer of 71 -lol .... seems kinda pathetic when i say it out loud(reading what ive written) and not nearly so funny...
NO Im goin to go wash dishes now! something positive and purposeful, chin up!

Hello! I just wanted to say that I like your descriptive term "swirly moment." It would be a good way to describe moments I sometimes have myself that are not exactly flashbacks, but where I'm not exactly grounded in reality either.
I'm glad you got un-swirled and hope you have a good, productive day today!
Thanks for this!

thank you Gr3tta, swirly moments for me are kinda like being in a tornado - at the eye of it, cause it feels like I am perfectly still and everything else is moving very fast around me...
yestaday was a little rough after seeing T, but I got 3 more hrs of sleep this morning and it was enough for me to be able to "reset" my brains. Hope that makes sense...
