Has anyone ever tried it and found it helpful? My T really wants me to consider it to get my PTSD under better control since it really exacerbates my bipolar disorder and vice versa.

I've never had any experience with it, I want to, though. There is very promising data behind studies that have been conducted, I would say go for it.

Very interested in the subject of EMDR. I've read a lot and it appears to be quite effective but I guess it depends on the patient and diagnosis. Some good vids on YouTube as well.

I've had EMDR off and on for years for PTSD, and have found it to be very effective. It's a very intense therapy so it's important to have a fully qualified therapist, but I've found it really helpful. Most of the time now, my symptoms of PTSD are non existant.

I tried EMDR and found it to be totally ineffective, but that might have been because my therapist wasn't skilled enough, or perhaps I'm just not a suitable client for that kind of treatment. It does have good empirical support.

Good luck!
