Talking to an old friend, sets me off into a manic state, then hostility and rage occurs,
And hangs around for two to three weeks after we see each other. It's like my skin gets peeled off with all my nerves exposed and raw...it hurts physically, psychicly, spiritually, and emotionally. I also have the same experience with my mother when I visit her.

The last time this happened was two weeks ago. It dawns on me that the person I need to forgive is myself. And at last recognize these relationships have always been mostly unbalanced.

My resolution is to maintain limited contact more on my own terms.

Thanks, I needed to express this.

Welcome JadeAmethyst! First off, love the avatar!
I am glad you are able to express your thoughts, and they are very insightful, I think.
I too, get triggered when talking to certain people, and realized from reading that I may need to take a look at my views and my responses. Like the fact that an unbalanced relationship can be the cause of such emotions coming from myself. And forgiving myself.

Thank you for your post. Gives me food for thought!
