my brother serve 2 years in afganistan and has been out for a year now..

he was put on anti depressents and sleeping aid, and up to 4 days ago he has been perfectly normal. he has been taking the meds for about a month now, and it seems like they took affect of his body.

he is now hallucinating, and waking up every 5 min because of dreams that he thinks are real. it seems like it is getting worse everyday.

he has stopped taking the meds and is now in the va hospital (mental floor) it seems like nothing is helping him

has anyone ever delt with this before? i am scared he will never be the same

like i said 4 days ago he was normal....

((Intheend and your brother))
Many good thoughts and hugs your way to both of you.

Hopefully the VA hospital can help him with some coping skills from his PSTD - It may take time before anything "seems to work" but hopefully some thing will for him-- are you doing ok as well?

Many many hugs to you

I wish I had advice or helpful words. I have a brother who also served in Afghanistan, but we have never met, but I often wonder if he suffers from PTSD.

I can only imagine what you and Your brother are going through right now. I hope you are doing well, and that he knows you are there for him. I am glad he is getting the help that he needs (I hope, I have not had experience with VA hospital.)
Keep us posted, please
