hI i am new here and not sure what to say. I am going through a very rought time right now. I have DID and PTSD two very debilitating disorders that i didn't ask for.
I was raped two months ago in my appartment and was verbally threatend. Police dont care at all. At times late at night the man who raped me taps on my window which totally freaks me out. Toatally afraid to be in or out of my appartment I dont know what is safe at all anymore. The word safe has not meaning for me really as i have always been in unsafe abusive environments all my life.
thats a bit about whats going on for me right now. THe recent rape has not been good for my PTSD nor my DID. I am in total darkness right now and its as if i am trapped.
I have to go for now. Thanks for listening.

Hi and welcome to PC. Sure am sorry to hear of your experience! IDK why the police don't care... I would continue with the report and insist on some action. Have you been in T before, but aren't now? You need support IRL, imo. TC

Welcome Bearhugs. I have loads of Dissociative Identity Disorder information on my blog including the things I do to control my DID.

To get to the blogs - at the top of this page click on the word - Blogs. That will get you a blog page (I think it's Doc Johns and other professionals. On that page on the left you will see a white box Click on the words -get your own. That will get you the psych central members area. from here you can locate by blog in two ways -

On the right click on the words Me,Myself and I in the most active blogs or click on my entry in the center of the page, or

at the top of that page click on users and scroll through until you find my name - Myself.

As for the man tapping on your window - contact your local Rape Crisis Center or Domestic Violence agency Both are nationwide and have 1-800 numbers in the phone book.

They can and WILL help you get a restraining order. Once that order is in place the guy WILL be arrested should he come within 500 feet as long as you do not initiate contact.

Welcome bearhugs! I am so sorry for what you have recently gone through. You can call one of the local woman's shelters and they can help you as far as filing a police report and protection programs.

Welcome bearhugs. I'm so sorry to read what's happened.

Please keep with the police. Also, have you contacted your local victim's witness agency to see if they can help you with what's happened and push the police harder?

We're here.
