I think so......I mean I don't know if a psychiatrist would consider it 'psychotic' but that is certainly the only word I can think of to describe it. When I get triggered things can get pretty well psychotic. And if anything these episodes have only become more frequent and I seem less able to handle even what were minor triggers before and only caused a bit of a reaction.

It sucks feeling alone with that though...so I can understand that as well. I mean I just don't know how to quite explain it to anyone without them freaking out....or not really being comfortable talking about it. I mean what am I supposed to say 'be careful around me because I might freak the hell out'?

I'm currently trying to figure out what I can even do about it, I've even considered having myself admitted to a psych ward or something but then there is the cost and well I would prefer not to resort to that(chances are I'll eventually freak out in public and be forced there anyways)...so unfortunatly I don't really have advice about it but i have experienced extreme states from PTSD.

Well... now that you mention it, I've always discussed with my doctor bunch of things before how I distort things (due to trauma or whatever) and basicaly that's what we worked on the most.

Even though I don't think it goes up to the point of seeing or hearing things that do not exist, I think I understand things wrong so I think I'd rather say we become more of paranoid instead?. Always prevented or expecting that same old behaviour/thoughts/words that once hurt us from everyone and their mom, even if it's probably obviously not going to happen, or not the case in point. We're always with a big wall up, waiting to get hurt because that's much of what we know.

But one thing I do agree with, it may not be it, but it sure feels like it.

BTW, kind of random but I absolutely love your forum avatar junkDNA.

Well I get that people fear the taboo and that fear is a drug that people let control them....though I tend to question how much one is letting it control them or if its more their inability to prevent it from controlling them.

I guess I am not sure I understand what you mean neuroplasticy is proving wrong.

I am familiar with it....but It deserves more looking into since basically all I know is its the brains ability to change physically or something like that. So basically if say depression for instance causes changes in someones brain, it's possible to undo those changes or something to that effect. At least that is how i understood it when I was taking a psychology course before I failed college.
