So...My then spouse pushed me, along with the attorney, to take a low settlement on the 3rd party suit, then they split the money and left. I had been married 26 years, and he made me divorce HIM (good riddens) so he could stay in the ministry with a clean slate. He remarried within weeks. Me? I have been alone since. All "our" friends believed his lies and left me also. A few did hang for a short time, but no one could accept me with my disability and pain... it interfered with their lives.. so they are all gone. The church people ignored me for divorcing! This time last year both sons and their families disowned me officially UNTIL I quit being disabled.. much more garbage going on... too long story.

Ouch! That sucks about your Ex - not a very compassionate thing to do to say the least!

Your Sons need to see that their demands on you are totally unreasonable... Hopefully they will come around on this and other issues in time, because they only have one mother for goodness sake.

It's good to talk here... It's an accepting place, and most of us can definately relate to different parts of what you're up against.
