I was abused three times, I don't want to go into it, but um, I get parts of it replayed in my head, like a movie tape... is this PTSD? If not, does anyone have anything similar?

It could very well be as often those that have BPD have suffered some kind of abuse growing up. You should try to find a good therapist that understands PTSD and can help you work through these troubling memories that you have not been able to resolve on your own.

I have PTSD due to things in the past. I fully get the video in your head thing. I get that from time to time. Some days you can turn the little movie in your head off, other days you dodn't know who turned it on but they did, and sometimes you just find your self watching it over and over again. Thats how it is for me anyway. I have a great T. who does trauma work. I highly recommend one who specializes in trauma's. It'll be the hardest work you've ever done. It will also give you the biggest bang for your buck and for your effort.

((((esther'rose))))

I have BPD and PTSD due to traumatic repeated events that occurred throughout my childhood. These characteristics have always been there for me, but after brain surgery and a traumatic brain injury six and five years ago, the characteristics intensified significantly.

Before then, I was better able to repress my memories. A few scenarios were inescapable, but I recalled little bits and pieces of them. I've always been in therapy, from mid-childhood & up, but more skimming the safer surface until the past 3-4 years.

Hope that makes sense to you ~ gentle hugs sent your way...

Im sorry but we cant tell you what this is with in you, only your treatment providers ie a medical doctor, a therapist or a psychiatrist can diagnose (tell someone what their problems are) you
