I find myself frowning and my face very tense when asked and trying to remember something about it.
It is like this, things donīt come naturally into my consciousness, I have to make a real effort and even then, itīs hard. A small part of me MIGHT just resist to really remembering, Iīm not quite sure. It is weird because it didnīt happen such a long time ago, while I have no trouble or atleast not such a strenous time remembering something from my time in school or childhood, which is way longer ago... How is it for you? |

Also, after talking about it, the same day of the session I feel extremely tired and the next day, today, sort of not really there, like my head is empty.
Is it like that for any of you? |

Yes Alisha88, I have had the same challenges. I can also be very tired after therapy and for a couple of days after therapy.
Give yourself time to rest, make sure you work on "self soothing" too. It takes time to develope good self soothing skills, but give it time because it is the self soothing that helps so much. I have been gaining on the ability to help my mind let go of constantly thinking and problemsolving and just to relax and float. I have learned to tell myself that I do not have to be overwhelmed and I "can" let go and relax. I find it very, very helpful. |
