New month, time to move on. One day @ a time. I promised myself today I won't dwell on the past, on dear old dad or incompetent doctors or psych wards or anniversary dates.
I'm just going to focus on having a good day, getting things done, and unwinding on a holiday weekend. Wish me luck. |

That's great, i know you can do it because you are positive in your effort even before it's done, just think of how good you'll feel at the end of the day!

Good for you motownjohnny. I won't pretend it's a perfect system, but the one day at a time, philosophy works pretty well for me, and has helped me in overcoming alcohol addiction.
You might want to look up Jon Kabat-Zin's books, Full Catastrophe Living, or Wherever You Go There You are, for information about mindfulness which is all about living in the now. I practice mindfulness and find it really helpful. splitimage |

Good for you, Johnny. In just a short time you've moved yourself from feeling really bad to laying the groundwork for a better day. I probably need to practice that as well.
