((tear drop)),
What you are describing is how most people talk about feeling that are struggling with PTSD. I am very sorry that your parents are invalidating you, as I have mentioned before, I have experienced that myself. It is very important that you stay in therapy, and your parents should be talked to by your therapist. It takes time tear drop but you can "make gains" on this. Always be patient and caring with yourself. ((Caring Hugs))) OE |

(((((((((((((( Tear Drop))))))))))) I am sorry that you feel so alone. You will get better at coping Tear Drop. As Open Eyes said, keep with the therapy. Talk to your T about how your parents are dealing with this and ask if you could have a joint session with them to help explain PTSD. You are also more than welcome to pm me to talk. This site has many good articles about PTSD that I would recommend reading also. The more you know about it yourself, the easier it will be to help yourself and help your parents understand. Take it easy on yourself and do the work of healing. We are all here to help support you even if your parents don't know enough about it yet to support you like you would like.

No, your parents aren't right at all!
Our parents also think that we fake everything... And I'm talking about little things such as headaches. If they knew we have DID, they would start stating that we're attention-seekers, etc. But try to understand them - they're protecting themselves from the truth. It's a defensive mechanism... Because they love you! ![]() I hope everything gets better! ![]() Cheers, Allie Lifelies

![]() People always try to rationalize away what they don't understand or don't want to deal with. If it exists to you, it's real. It's your experience. End of argument. I'm sorry you have no one. I know all too well what that feels like. I've had to do all of my healing alone up until about 2 years ago. And even with people in my life it can be really lonely. I have a friend with PTSD but she embraces it. She loves the 'wackiness' it causes in her life. Who knows. I hope you are able to find support and not feel so alone and scared. ![]()
