I just realized I didn't think about the past hardly at all today. I've been quite busy this weekend doing long-overdue yard work, which makes me feel good - I want what I had back, a really nice looking yard which got me a lot of compliments.

I wonder why? Could it be the Prozac setting in after only 6 days? Just the fact I was doing something with good results?

Whatever, I'll take it.

Good to hear you're feeling better MT. You know for me, getting out and doing something really makes a difference and usually like you said, there will come a point in the day where I realize hey, I haven't thought about ___. Physical activity and natural light boosts happy brain chemicals. I'd favor that as a reason far over prozac.

Glad to hear it Johnny It usually takes at least a couple weeks to feel the effect, that's how it works for some reason. For me I discontinued after 4 weeks because that's when the effects set in and to me they were not desirable. Everybody is different and I'm glad you are benefiting from it, the exercise is probably playing a huge role, it could also be the placebo effect giving you the motivation. Motivation is a big deciding factor on how good you will feel. I lack in motivation most days to the point of not having any short term goals.

Taking control of your yard back was good for you. Anytime you can do something that has a positive result, it is always good for your healing.

Healing in not all about rethinking your past, it is also about finding positive ways in the "now" to have a sense of control again.

Glad you had a good day, you deserved it.

Thats awesome Johnny!

I got out and started to sort out my vege garden after work this evening, and after feeling soo bad for a couple of days....it really helped to get near the earth and do some weed pulling and give my mind a break form constant worry.

Who knows if it's the exercise, gardening or meds....whichever is working for you, keep at it.

Another day, and again, I was mostly in the present all day. Not too much obsessing over recent or distant past events. I do think it is the Prozac, or the placebo effect therefrom.

Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a can of Spam why it is, I'm just thrilled that it is.
