I have been considering the many forms of kindness we give and receive in each and every daily activity of our days.

I recall when I was younger that it was all about being seen as a "good" person, and all the other trappings that come with this idea.

At this moment though, an act of kindness could be considered something quite anonymous, small, and even mute.

My issues at the moment are being kind to myself in smaller, less blatant ways.
Maybe a glass of water would be helpful, to replenish and refresh.

Maybe someone leaves a on a post or comment I have made.

When I slow my mind down long enough like right now typing, it helps to focus here with you all.

It is sort of bittersweet and funny that often, I am blind to others giving me kindness, because it scares me.

How do you feel about this? Is it an issue for you all also?

Regards
Jade

I think you are talking somewhat of being mindful, taking the time to slow down and see the many things that actually transpire in a day. the things we do to care for ourselves and others that happen almost automatically, so really taking the time to see how our actions impact ourselves and others. the smallest things can be an act of kindness and caring, but we do not even notice until we take the time to really look at what we are doing. take care

Jade I really struggle with anyone being kind to me..the concept is soo foreign, and somehow I am always waitign for the other shoe to drop....and them to either take it back or turn nasty. It is rather sad.

Someone sent me their love and best wishes on a post when I was struggling...and internally I freaked out and just screamed silently...noooo. I think because kindness preceeded the exact opposite to oten. Thanks for posting this and making me think about my reactions to kindness.

Hi JaneC
Yes, I struggle receiving kindness also, really the reason I posted as a reminder.
It is an everyday way of being, when I slow down.
Maybe we all will be able to find ways of being kind to ourselves first and foremost. It will be better.

I wish you well.

Jade
