would someone be able to tell me if this is a possible scenario for PTSD?:

ive found a certain loved one close to me in two instances where they attempted suicide, both times they were comatosed and in icu and both times i was given the 'if you have to make the decision to let go' speech from docs. both times thank God they pulled through and wee okay with no brain damage etc (both were massive od's) my curiousity leaves me to wonder if my panic disorder may be something else, as i am constantly (even when i try my best not to be) somewhat of a 'watchdog' or 'policer' to this person, and it hurts them and myself, however im not sure if its related to PTSD, obsessiveness, fear, panic, or something else.. im unsure but i believe it contributes greatly to my disorder but im not willing/able to emotionally seperate myself, as i need this person as much as they need me, just im not sure where to draw the line and how.

anybody else in a similar circumstance, or been there? i somedays feel im going to drive myself crazy however my fear of losing this person is greater than anythinge else as this person is my survival in so many ways.

thanks for listenin, sorry for the long post and my appologies if its in the wrong forum.

Hey.. I don't have answers really, but it seems to me that it would make sense for you to have a panic disorder... look what you have had to deal with...

How scary it must have been for you....I can't imagine... but I think I would be on pins and needles too...

I hope you find a way to get relief.. I know how difficult it is to live with panic attacks..

Good luck.. Faith

That has to be scarey! I think you should take at least a self inventory about PTSD that might lead you to realize more symptoms you could be experiencing. PTSD doesn't always occur when someone sees or fears death... I'm sure you are on guard because of what you already know about this person. Please seek help, the sooner you can work through this, the better. (((hugs)))
