I stopped my T about a month ago. The last few times I went she would totally trigger me for day's BAD! I have been doing really good and a ton of self care. I still do my acupuncture etc to keep my Yin & Yang balanced.

I still take my daughter to same T group but not same T! I drop her off and go to car while she see's her T. I found that my T was a TOTAL liar to me and did not pay attention to anything but my clothes etc. I think this T had a lot to do with my SSDI. She said one thing and did another. I found that doing my own self therapy was best for me. I took her techniques and ran with them. She was so Negative and she is the only T I have found close to me that deals with PTSD. NO THANK YOU!

I'm so sorry you had to go thru that especially w/ a T that specialized in PTSD & yes, they are hard to find. She should've known better than to trigger you & not help.

I know that when my T triggers me it's not on purpose & she's told me she "won't walk on egg shells" around me worrying about my triggers bec I'll be triggered enough in real life. I notice when she does trigger me it takes me a good two days to tell her about it. I guess I need time to think, process & figure out how to tell her. Then we might talk about it. It's not easy in the least but she doesn't sympathize. I'm sorry you ran I to such a tight frame of mind w/ your therapist.
You deserve better!
