Hey! I'm kind of nervious about the mix of mediaction I'm on and I wonder if anyones had to take all of these together and how it worked for them in the long run?

Abilify
Seroquel
Zoloft

Story being, I had an evaluation (officially diagnosed with PTSD and BPD traits more then likely triggerd by the severity of my PTSD) and that psyc gave me abilify. But before I could start taking it I had to go to the hospital for suicidle thoughts and paranoia (I assume it was because of constent triggers in my house). And that osyc gave me seroquel as needed for anxiety. Zoloft was perscribed last time I was at the hospital for suicidle thoughts. So having two different psyciatrists give me two different a-typical anti-psycotics kind of unerves me. I mean so far all I feel is fidgity and hyper as all hell.

But yeah, is it even ok to mix all of these? The dosage of abilify and seroquel are the lowest I can go on ant 100mg of Zoloft might be going up to 200 if the abilify doesn't help.

Thanks! <3

Ps. Today I have been feeling well for the first time in a month but very, VERY hyper (started abilify last night and had to take seroquel when I got home)

Those seem pretty normal. Zoloft is an SSRI, used to treat depression. It also has uses in many anxiety disorders, such as OCD.

Seroquel is a mood stabilizer and is used in the treatment of bipolar disorder. I believe it is also used as an augment to a partially (but not completely) effective SSRI for depression.

Abilify is similar to Seroquel, a mood stabilizer also used as an add-on to SSRI treatment.

All in all, that doesn't sound too extreme or unusual. If you are having side effect issues or other concerns, it would be beneficial to talk to your pdoc.

If they are trying to ease the PTSD these don't sound out of the ordinary. They experimented (don't know if that's the appropriate wording) when I was dealing with this and so very depressed in hospital, but I was in therapy at the same time. I was in bad shape, and it was difficult to say what meds were helping me or really if the meds were helping me at all? Hard to say.

I was what you are on currently at one time, and am on Seroquel now which I seem to depend on more as a sleep aid/mood stabilizer. Have been on this med for about 5 years (200 mg.), along with Wellbutrin, Prozac (eating dis).

As mentioned with the previous poster, be sure to talk with pdoc if side effects.

Abilify actually made my depression worse.

I'm currently on:

Lexapro

Lamitctal

Zxpresa

And few others

All works for me

Thanks guys! Its a little freaky being on two a-typical anti-pycotics when your not, exactly used to people realizing the severity of your PTSD symptoms, like I was just on SSRI's for YEARS (only ever helped for like a month). Knowing this is normal for people with PTSD is very comforting and yes I report all side effects to my pdoc and she has a list of meds from the woman who assesed me as back up to finding treatment! All I have is BPD traits and PTSD, so I was like............isn't this a bit extream? But :3 yay
