At the risk of sounding cliche... It's not your fault. It's really not. Pretend theres another little kid who has the same experience you did... What would you say to him if he was mercilessly blaming himself?

Hi Fuzzy, plenty of times things that happen to us have nothing to do with the kind of people we actually are. And when others are involved/others do something, it will be just as much about the kind of people they are.
Now why do you have to take the responsibility for what someone else/your dad has chosen?? He could have had plenty of his own personal reasons and none of them to do with you. Because we know Fuzzy, you are a good person. Regardless of how much you struggle at times, what you've been through/are going through, how hard it might be for you to say or do things............you are a good person.. And mean people.........you're way better than them!! Honestly!! Please don't give them any more power than they deserve, you try to stick to being you!! And if you need any help in either standing up to/against them, or letting their actions/words pass by you, we're here for you. ![]() Alison |
