I woke up to a body memory this morning, and it took me a while to figure out if was a "safe" memory. The sensations didn't fade though, and are now giving way to "unsafe" memories... these are always the hardest to ground from.
I hate this feeling. I hate when it comes back, and for no reason I can pinpoint either.
Not sure what I want out of this post. I guess I'm hoping it helps to admit it instead of carrying it alone. I've tried distracting and grounding, now I'm trying sharing... ugh. I hope they fade soon. Don't like this one bit!

Oh ((ThisWayOut)), these can come from stress, what has been stessing you lately?

Most of these flashbacks come from stress taking place in the now that brings back memories of different things in one's past that stressed them.

Hugs. So sorry.
You said you woke up, it could be due to a dream or something your subconscious was trying to work out while you slept. So sorry.
