I am in ER. My eyelids were swollen shut when I woke this morning. I recall seeping poison ivy blisters wetting the sheets near my face last night. I also recall being smacked in the eye by a vine. I'm going to have poison ivy eyes and go blind and crazy and my mother will never go home.

Sometimes you hurt so bad you just quit. You sit still. You watch your wounds seep and ndotice the It h without scratching. It's not numbness. It's acceptance. It's acceptance of everything that is, just as It is.

This is what religious Muslims call sakina.

Oh Teacake, I am so sorry. However, I think that the ER doctors will be able to treat this unfortunate condition. The eye/eyes do recover, but it takes time and is very uncomfortable. They will give you a shot of cortizol and some drops for your eye/eyes too, even tell you to take Benedryl.

You will recover, but yeah, it takes time and is very uncomfortable.

Ugh, sorry you have not been very happy so far in this venture of yours. Not recommended for someone with PTSD.
You "have" survived worse my friend.

Don't know if you can read this, but just know your PC friends are here, and hoping you recover as quickly as possible.
