For the past couple of days I've been in pain on the right side of my chest across my ribs- I'm 29 and usually fit and well I haven't had a doctors visit for ill health for years.

I can't think of what came first the pain or the memory but I've had it before where I had a flashback of the memory and then the pain

For the last three hours I've been struggling worth it more because
A) the pain bloody hurts and is at its worst from the past few days
B) the memory isn't exactly a walk in the park either

Should I go to the doc to check if it is a physical pain? With a physical cause or will my doctor think I'm more crazy than they originally thought?

I would have it checked...I have also dealt with both spectrums of the pain and flashback scale. I'm sorry you are dealing with this...

Turns out it was pain causing memory.

Been at the hospital most of the day. They suspect a blood clot on the lung. I've been given a large dose of blood thinners, some pain killers and scheduled in for a contrast CT tomorrow

Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you got it checked out. I will keep you in my thoughts...

Hey,
Thankfully it wasn't a clot, but the lung is inflamed (pleurisy)- and unfortunately the contrast from the CT has caused kidney pain, the doctor thinks it's an infection, but hasn't had the results back from the lab yet.

So I'm in a quite a bit of pain, but glad it wasn't as serious as they first thought.
