Trigger warning.

So this happened a few days ago. I was out with my friend and her mom for dinner at Wendy's before we went to a place to a teen lounge and her mom went to the track at the same place. But while we were at Wendy's, there were a couple arguing about something. We were sitting at the table next to them. Then all of the sudden the female gets up without her stuff and runs out the door. The man got up without his stuff either and chased her out. Outside, she was at the curb before going to the pavement and the man grabbed her wrist. She started to hit him back and yell at him. The man kept holding on to her. I told my friends mom to look because I was mentally freaking out. I missed most of the "real" fight but I saw her hit him a few times. My friends mom was about the call the police but they stopped grabbing and hitting each other. They went into the hallway before you enter a restaurant, but the walls were made of glass so I could see it. They were yelling at each other, but speaking in some form of Chinese so I understood nothing of it not that I wanted to. Another family saw what happened (dad, mom, 2 girls), and the dad went to the couple after he ordered and asked what was going on and if everyone was okay. The man only talked, and not the woman. After a few more minutes they came back to her seat crying and then they left after finishing their coffee. It was terrifying. I don't know what really happened but it seemed that the man wouldn't let her go basically. And this was in public as probably figured.

The CYW I talk to says in the Asian culture (or at least Korean and they were an Asian culture) that men are deemed better than woman and when she lived in Korea for a year, her seeing men attacking women all the time. There though, the woman didn't do anything about it and just stood there basically. The person I saw was crying and fighting back. But I'm in Canada, and that's not acceptable in Canadian culture so by seeing it freaked me out. I've seem a similar event before but this one got more to me than the other event. Should I tell my pdoc or should I hope it'll pass? I don't really want to go to Wendy's at the moment, but I haven't thought about it more than other events. I did for a day or two but haven't much yesterday. It's just something I wish I could unsee, you know? Anyways, maybe sharing it will make me feel better.

Yes. Too bad you had to witness violence against a woman.
Share with your Pdoc until it doesn't bother you anymore.

my psychologist gae me a technique for seeing bad things - you pretend you are in a cinema - and you are alone and the scene shows on the screen - then you run it back faster and faster - at some point it loses its power ..

hope this may help before you see your pdoc

Thanks for everyone's responses. I haven't been thinking of it because more issues have arisen to me. My mind is always anxious and always finds a way to be anxious. It's pretty bad.
