It is horrible. So sorry you are triggered by this memory. Just know that was then and this is now. You are safe now. I know this is easier said than done sometimes.

Hi Shattered,

I am sorry you are going through this.

Trace is spot on; you are safe now. Thankfully.

I hope this all calms down for you and you feel better soon.

I think it's so easy to forget

once you're in the memory, and you feel it around you.. it is so hard to know you're safe and you're okay

thank you.

I apreciate this post

I’m sorry you are struggling. It will pass, as it does, & I know whilst ‘in it’ that’s not much support, but you are safe & you are now in the here & now. Do some grounding over the next few days & try & be kind to yourself. I do know just how tough it is. Hugs.

It is hard to fight or get around the memory strength sometimes. We have to keep working on it though.

I know you're right.

sometimes though, it feels like you're trying and trying with it, and getting nowhere

it's like (if I can use the terminology), an open portal

a magic portal that just sweeps you in then shuts itself so you can't get out, and you're stuck in that memory.

for me, fire is a really big trigger.

I've had lots of bad experiences involving fire

so when it comes to that, it is obviously the hardest

I've been really stressed the last week and a half, to the point of nausea, and I only just realized today it's because I'm being triggered by my current situation which is reminding me of years of stalking I've suffered. It all makes sense now.

I'm so sorry you are going through this now. I'm sorry for all of us.
