...I was walking to class with a friend and we saw someone carrying a long black object coming towards us. My friend said she thought it was a telescope; my first thought was that it was a gun! Oh dear. On campus today... (Turned out it was actually a camera and tripod stand.)

{{{Rio}}} Scary, I hate when that happens.

When we were having the sniper shootings in our area of Maryland back in 2002 http://www.fbi.gov/page2/oct07/snipers102207.html the ones on October 3 were in sight of my stepson's office. At one point later that week, there's a large parking lot and my stepson saw someone put something long wrapped in a towel in the trunk of a car so called the police who instantly came and surrounded the car, etc. It was a false alarm but depending on what you are "looking for"/expecting that's what you'll expect to see.

(((Perna))) Thanks. I'm really sorry I don't have time to reply properly at the moment - this is probably going to make me late as it is, but I need to get it down before I forget. It deals with violence, so if anyone here finds that triggering then be careful. On campus today...

I had a bad dream last night...I think I was at university, and I was watching the news when a story came on about a school shooting - can't remember if they said where it was. They said they were going to do a reconstruction...they showed a picture of the roof of the room (which was dark, just like I remember the gym, but the roof was built very differently - hard to explain) and played gunshots...said they wouldn't show people getting hit, because it would upset their viewers. But then they said they'd be showing something that would be involving people (can't remember what - it might have been the way they landed, or talking to survivors) and I started telling anyone that would listen that I needed to leave, except I couldn't because there were TVs everywhere and I couldn't escape.

Whether this is significant or not, I have no idea...I just know that I was feeling shaky when I woke up almost an hour ago and I still haven't recovered. On campus today...

I'll try and reply to your post tonight, Perna.

Sorry I didn't reply last night! Better late than never, I guess. On campus today...

Anyway, thanks again. That would have been scary! On campus today... Good thing it was a false alarm.
