My son was shot and assaulted five and a half years ago and survived. Every time there is a shooting it brings it all right back so all I want to do is either eat or drink. I'm not doing either right now but I want to badly.

I am so sorry that you have to relive such a tragic event time and time again.

This frequency of these shootings is really unnerving. The stress is overwhelming. You sound strong in resisting the unhealthy urges that are just coping reactions to trauma. Hugs to you and your son.
