I did hire a lawyer. The lawyer got the policeman to mend his report. But he added some lies such as, 'the walk sign was on,' accusing me of running a red light. In the end, it was said to be 90% my fault, instead of 100%. I got a check for $500. But I had to pay my lawyer $900.

How do you feel about this? It seems like an injustice to me. My heart goes out to you.

Thanks,

I completely understand what it's like - unfortunately it's happened more than once to me! And I too witnessed almost the same accident in almost the same location on the highway a few months after my car crash, and yeah, it sent me reeling! I'm fairly sure I have PTS, at least like 3 from what I went thru. If you want to chat, just hit me up.

Were you injured at all? Was the other person injured??

Not being believed is a thorough back to those awful times for me. I too recently had an accident. Pulled over for fire truck. Guy behind me pulled over. Woman behind him did not. Fireman jumped out of their vehicle. Checked our well being. Checked leak on poor car in middle. Hopped back into their truck and left. Swear it took them all of 3 minutes. My insurance company called to say the lady was blaming me. She conveniently forgot to mention the fire truck to her insurance company. They just wanted me to know! But that couple seconds sent me back to the accident in vivid detail. And brought up other issues from my past about not being believed. So I know how devastating it can be.

Just take especially good care of yourself. Try not to catastrophize. Thoughts and prayers.
