Possible trigger:
It's all I'm seeing and hearing. I can't quit panicking no matter what I try, and despite every coping mechanism I'm still shaking uncontrollably. I've always wondered, if they knew what they did to me -- how they killed me before I ever got the chance to live -- would they have still done it?

I know it's hard not to think about what your abuser might have been thinking or why they did what they did. But the thing is, there's no way to know for sure. I've tried to do it, and it's enough to make you go crazy. You can't read people's minds, and there's no reason to hurt yourself more by trying to find a motive.
There's something that you can understand in the aftermath, and that's yourself. You can know your own mind. Focus on your own healing, let yourself cope. You're going through a lot right now, let that be your focus. That said, sending you plenty of hugs. ![]() |

It's unfortunate for many that there are human beings that don't have the ability to repect others and only think about themselves. They also tend to take out their own problems and lacks on others. It is normal to want to know why, it is part of our humanity, how we are designed so we can learn about things that can be harmful to us so we can better survive.
