When I was 11 or 12, my mom was in an abusive relationship. Her boyfriend started hitting her when my sisters and I weren't there. One day we were moving so my mom told me to get the money for the couch we were selling since she was at work. I did and her boyfriend at the time asked for the money and of course I said no.
Possible trigger:
I gave him the money and he left to get "weed". My mom came home asking for the money so she could go get me some food, he said no and
Possible trigger:
He then later went to jail but everytime someone says his name, I have flashbacks from that night. Is this normal or is something wrong with me?

Nothing is wrong with you; it is common to (after a trauma) to have flashbacks.

Completely, totally, 100% normal human response to awful trauma. I am so sorry you had to experience that.

Sending strength and support!!!!!!!!!
