After several nights of no sleep due to nightmares, last night I finally "crashed and burned" (fell asleep for several hours). When I awoke, I had clenched my blanket so tight for hours that I had a hard time relaxing and unbending my arms. My arms are very sore today; every time I try to move them it's painful. This is just about as bad as no sleep! Anyone else have this problem or know what to do to avoid this???? Sleep/nightmare problems

No one else has such sleep/nightmare problems? I hold on to my blankets so tight while asleep (without even knowing it) my muscles & joints have stayed stressed for hours-making them so sore when I wake up. I need some help with this.

Sorry for the late reply. I have nightmeres. I have to be careful of what goes in my brain during the day. It helps. I dont watch news or shows that bring any strong emotion. I still have them but not as bad.

I have this, too. I worked in T to create a calming routine, to avoid TV before bed, to avoid reading things that caused strong emotions...eventually all that has helped is sleep meds. But I think a lot of the behavior change stuff did take the edge off the worst of it.
