that everytime he gets angry, everytime he plays around with me but gets too rough, i start to remember what's happened to me in the past...i remember the molestation, I remember the rape, I remember my mom also getting abused right in front of my eyes. I remember everything. and it takes me back there.
I don't know how to get him to understand....I want him to, but it's like he doesn't care........ |

If I may, it sound like you need to take a little more control of the situation, take the lead. Ask him to allow you to do that for awhile as part of the healing process. You really need to feel in control of the situation to feel safe. Maybe explaining that or showing him this post might help. Take care of you.

Can you explain a situation from the past in detail to him and then explain how what he does now reminds you of that painful stuff too much?
